Why Input Quality Matters
The AI model needs adequate data to learn your facial proportions, expressions, and skin tone. More variation and higher quality inputs lead to better headshots.
Lighting and Environment
Lighting is everything. Opt for soft, natural lighting whenever possible. Stand facing a large window or step outside on an overcast day.
Avoid harsh shadows, dim rooms with fluorescent lighting, or heavy backlighting that silhouettes your face.
Framing and Posing
Provide a mix of angles. Some looking straight ahead, some slightly angled. Ensure the camera is at eye level, not looking too far up or down at you.
- Include 10-15 chest-up photos.
- Include 3-5 close-up face shots.
- Include 3-5 half-body shots.
- Look directly at the camera in at least half of the photos.
